Got my finger(s) caught in a wringer washer more than a few times helping my mom...Can remember between the ages of 12 to 14, getting up at 4:30-5:00 in the morning and picking up about 80 newspapers and either walking or riding my bicycle on my route...365 day's a year...rain, snow, hot, freezing cold...it didn't matter, you delivered the paper...and every customer had a specific place they wanted their morning paper put..This would never be done today and parents would be arrested if they let a 12-14 yr old kid out at 4;30-5am to deliver 80 newspapers...No worries in 62-64...A great experience teaching a kid responsibility and how to handle money,
oh...cartoons only came on Saturday morning for just a couple of hours...and Westerns were the biggie when it came to TV fodder in the 50's and early 60's...I remember it as an awesome time growing up "back in the day":B...Some really, really great memories
