This might be crazy, but I wonder what it would cost to have something heavy park up top and winch the trailer down. Like logging, but in reverse. Know any loggers?
Then you could drive down with the Jeep and reposition the trialer once it's down.
Another thing to consider: Driving up and down the hill is going to disturb the grass roots, so when it rains you will get a lot of mud washing down. It might take several years of zero driving to recover. Are you going to always park up top and walk down, even with truckloads of firewood or whatever?
