Is this close enough or low enough to the creek that it can flood? That would be my first concern.
If you were going to build a cabin... where were you going to put it? It would require a level spot to be excavated. Why not excavate the same spot and put the camper there?
I would not attempt this with a vehicle like you are talking about. I would get a wrecker to come out and winch the camper down the hill. It really wouldn't be that expensive.
You can calculate beforehand if the rear of the trailer will drag. Take some measurements of the rear bumper height, and distance from the rear axle. Pick the point where the rear axle will hit the break point of the slope. Mark the spot. Measure parallel to the slope from that point, the distance between the axle and bumper, at the height of the bumper. If you can't get the distance before running out of vertical clearance, you are going to have to do something different.
Another option---if you can't excavate, can you add a gravel pad or driveway? That would be an upgrade over wet grass.
