Bad Customer Service

So, my wife and I went to a VERY POPULAR RV dealer in the Tampa, Florida area...... We had check in hand to purchase a new class A motorhome and we looked and looked, went into several, as they were unlocked. Any way we must have been there a good hour or 2 and I must say NOT ONE SALESMAN came up to us. We did however get a water from one of the 'runners' in golf carts. I guess they are SO POPULAR, and cater to the big dollar buyers-that they do not want my little $$. Oh well....not my problem, but it is definitely a MANAGEMENT ISSUE for sure. I will definitely be taking my business/purchase elsewhere for darned sure. Just and FYI at some of these 'GREAT....BIGGEST....(and don't give a darn) dealers out there...............

  • I know where you are talking about. Let me assure you they care about the customer. My wife and I went in December 2014 on a Sunday and did not request a salesman so nobody bothered us. We came back on Monday and requested a salesman.

Our salesman spent Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday showing us units. No pressure, just took us to units, let us look and then answered questions.

BTW, we found something we liked on Wednesday and are very happy. Also, know two other couples who bought within 3 months of us.

So everyone will know. It's "Lazydays".

Would I buy from them again?? Dang right because after the sale is outstanding also!

No financial interest. Just one happy customer,
  • I prefer not to have salesmen mob me when I'm looking around. Like when you're buying a car.
  • Yes sir we did, and were told to go thru the 'hall way thru the eating area' and then we could see/access the lot where the units we were looking at were.
  • Personally that is the way we like it! No salesman bothering me makes it much easier for me to look beyond the glitter to see how it really is built. If I want to buy Ill go find someone to take my money.
  • Gee I could've sworn you were in Oregon! We DID stop at the welcome desk and had a salesman take us out. We were honest and said we were planning on buying a year from then. He said he'd go get a brochure, after dropping us off way out in the lot, and we never saw him again. After 15 minutes, we walked back in and out --- AFTER I talked to the manager and read him the riot act. BTW...we ended up buying within 2 months......NOT from them. :)
  • Yes, some of the dealers out there are a bit lazy. As soon as they think you are not there to buy, they would rather sit inside talking to each other.
  • Did you stop at the welcome desk as you went in or did you just wander out to the sales lot?
Had you stopped at the welcome desk you would have had a salesman assigned to you to take you around in his cart wherever you wanted to go. They are not pushy at all, which is probably why they didn't bother you, and most are very well informed about the products they are selling.

If I were you, I would give that dealer another chance to see what they can do. They didn't get that big by chance! :)
