Our little borough has just built a $$ high school and raised taxes. We are next to a real expensive borough. There are a lot of new people on council/zoning board/police, etc,. trying to look busy and justify their paychecks.
I believe they are trying to hammer on all of the rules to attract a higher class of tax payers.
The ordinance states that RVs/Boats have to be behind the building line. It's just not physically possible on our lot.
They could have been human and granted us a variance based on the fact that there is no place else to put it, but they just said, 'move it.'. Probably one of them owns the local storage lot.
I've accepted the fact that we don't have a choice about fighting this any further. We either move it or sell it.
It isn't fair, (what is?) and I appreciate all you folks telling me storage isn't so bad.
All I can do is vote them out!
