We store our truck and 5r at an RV/ boat only, very secured, very expensive covered rv storage a couple miles from home. We are not worried because it is monitored 24-7 and several german shepards are around after hours. We are surrounded by million dollar coaches and boats.
Our facility has insurance coverage in case of theft or damage, thus, the very high price tag. Plus, having covered parking in Phoenix AZ is a priceless option.
We are actually more comfortable having it there than home. We prefer not share our income bracket with the neighborhood, and our side drive where we would keep it, is too close to the street. Do not need some parent suing us because their child got injured playing around it.
If you do decide to store it, stay away for regular storage facilities that have " rv storage"
We have many friends whose coaches have been broken into multiple times and everything stolen, including dinner plates and silverware. Other times, they were vandalize.
If you have a friend or neighbor with " behind the gate " storage, that would be the way to go.
