Bad news??

As far as storing it, storage facilities that 'specialize' in RV's is your best bet as they usually have the gates and alarms that most regular self storage facilities don't have because people have access to their storage units around the clock.
IMHO I find the specialized climate controlled "INSIDE RV/Boat" storage places to have far less if at all cases of theft compared to outside storage at a regular self storage place.
The OP's situation is a city ordinance not a home owners so he would have received no info as to these rules without checking into it himself. Having been able to have this for 7 years without a hassle would be my excuse to head to a council meeting to air my complaint as to why now. Couldn't do any harm.........
