One final thought - Although I don't like homeowners having cars parked in their driveways (especially if the have a 3 or 4 car garage), I wouldn't want an ordinance to restrict such a thing. Oddly, such communities do exist and there are even some that don't allow garage doors to face toward the front of the property. Again, I think our priorities have gotten way off-track.
My sister was telling me of a fancy gated place in Arizona. You had to buy special trash cans, could only put out 'approved' lawn decorations, no cars to be parked in the driveway overnight. All of the townhomes looked exactly the same, except for the color of the front door.
