...Sounds like you found a good deal on a place to store it and are going that route. However, as one thats always kept our RVs in our driveway and would have it NO other way, I'll just suggest this:
I would think of the storage lot as a TEMPORARY solution, not a permanent one. I haven't read all 10 pages of this thread, so maybe it was already mentioned, but I'd do this:
Look into all the specific details of the ordinance violation in question. Then, start thinking about what you can do to get around that ordinance. Perhaps you can make some landscape changes to allow you to park it such that it doesn't violate the ordinance? Or, maybe you can register it differently, to get around the rule? Or, maybe forking out the $$ to build a shelter of some kind for it will solve the problem? Just some ideas.
Personally, I'd build a separate garage just for the RV if I had to, just to keep our RV at the house! I know many people store their RVs, but there is just no way I'd ever be happy doing that long term. I'd either move somewhere I can keep it at the house, make it so I can keep it at the house some way, or sell the RV altogether.
I absolutely refuse to keep somethng that cost me this much $$ anywhere but in my driveway where I can keep an eye on it everyday. But, thats me, you may well get used to storing yours and not mind it. I know I sure would, though.
