Bad Tires
IMO, don’t waste your money on Hankook Trailer tires! In November, 2023, I bought 4 new Hankook Vantra TH 31, G Rated tires for my 5th Wheel. After 18 months and about 10K miles I noticed all 4 tires...
do you have a picture of the cracks, I am having a hard time picturing this.
but the manufacture is telling the truth, RV tires can crack from being exposed to the sun and not being used. a combination of factors contribute to this, including UV radiation, ozone, and the lack of flexing that occurs when tires are in use. this is why most long term rv's have wheel covers on them.
lol, the tires aren’t even 2 years old according to the OP.
That's right, mfg. date was 12-23 (12th week of 2023) and on the 5th Wheel about 18 months and run about 10K miles - ridiculous! Small Claims here we come!
Yep, 18 months.
and 10K miles so underuse shouldn't have been a factor. to me they look like a set of tires that was low in air pressure and sitting around but that's not the case, if they were new when you bought them I wouldn't expect that at all with that many miles. that usually what you see after 3 year in Arizona with out tire covers and not moving.
what PSI were you running in them ?
85 PSI, and they were covered.
