BAL hidden spare tire holder
This carrier holds the tire snug against the bottom of my camper. Now it takes 2 men to lift a tire on to the 2. 6" long bolts on the carrier, then there is lock nuts to hold the tire on the carrier....

x2. While a chance of a failure is probably pretty slim, its not like you are going to be taking the tire out of the carrier every day. If you do it once during the time you have the camper, you will be beating the odds. Manufacturers don't add stuff to the cost of the product for no reason.
If you don't think you can get the tire off by yourself, invest in road side service.
