Many of the motors have concealed bushings so replacement is most likely what you will need to do. The cost for the motor is about $34 US. It is not likely that touching the motor or turning the blade would fix a bad connection. The odds are it is a dry bussing in the motor. So good luck and keep warm.
That or you could replace it with a better unit at only about twice the cost of the motor that moves a lot more air.
