Battery Cutout switches and dead batteries

I was the the factory for some warranty work and concerns this week. The night before going to the factory, I was in a campground and we talked some issues.
One issue was my batteries would die over about 3 week period with the both the Main battery Cutout and the Invertor power switches off. The fellow camper told me, he had the same problem and found a remote Generator Start Module (even thou he didn't have a on board generator) that had a constant drain to the batteries. He pulled the fuse and problem solved.
I passed this remedy on to the Factory Tech, He in turn was able to find the same connection plus a Battery Monitor Module connected for constant drain. We talked of putting addition cutout/on-off switch in those two device circuits but the company policy is this would be a modification and not warranty work. I was told pulling the fuses was a valid option, My wife could not have pulled the fuses.
I say Engineering Design deficiency but anyway I was given some hardware (matching existing switches) should I choose to install and now it is just when.
Also I will a small engraving telling of 3 places to Cut the DC Power.
  • Yeah the Auto Generator Start should be disabled when the batteries are disconnected. On our coach the only thing hooked to the batteries when disconnected is the solar panel.
