It would help if your put info in your signature or profile as to what you have. I note that you mentioned a jack so I will assume you mean tongue jack and that you have a travel trailer (TT).
My guess is that you installed the battery incorrectly and burnt the reverse polarity fuse(s) in your converter. Reverse the wires and replace the fuse(s).
Typically black is positive and white is negative.
