BBQ for RV

Any suggestions on what type/brand of propane BBQ to purchase for our RV? Do you prefer the low pressure or high pressure burner? I would rather NOT have the BBQ rack mounted onto the RV. Thanks for your suggestions!

  • We have a 24 gallon LP tank, would you still recommend the low pressure burner?
  • I've got a nice littl Weber Q100. Runs off my on-board tank (with minor mod) and has worked great for about 6 years now.
  • I use a Weber Q with mine, bought the low pressure conversion kit for it since I had a quick connect on the trailer and don't want to carry a separate 20# bottle since I've already got to 2 30#'r's on the trailer. It works great, but I'm also a huge fan of Weber (own 2 smokers, and 3 grills all Weber) so it fit right in with the rest of the "family" stows easily and cooks great, with a bit of practice you can even smoke stuff with it. Alot of people like the Coleman roadtrip as it can be converted to low pressure as well, but my personal experience with the Coleman was horrible, crazy hotspots very uneven cooking etc.
