We stayed at Bar Harbor KOA Oceanside CG. Got a fhu oceanfront site. It was wonderful. They have a guy who cooks fresh lobster dinners right in the CG. The Island has a bus service called Mountain Explorer. All you need to do is walk up to the cg office and wait, they drive around and can drop you off anywhere on the Island for free. On the Road just before you hit the causeway to the Island is Trents Lobster Pound. I have never had a sweeter 2.5 pound lobster anywhere since.
