Not gonna give lessons on how-to but you can load your own POI (Points of Interest) on to your Garmin. You need to download a POI Loader from Garmin.
Go to POI Factory Someone has put a list together which you can download and install. It is called Campgrounds and RV Parks Combined. You will need to Register to download the file.
Note that on my Nuvi they do not show up under "Points of Interest" but under "Extras - Custom POIs" The quickest and slickest way to find campgrounds.
