There's nothing difficult at all about hooking up sewer solution. Run a water line, hook up the hose and you're done. The gray tank will drain thru the hose just fine without any water running and the black tank flushes out with the water running. It doesn't clog and cleans itself after use. Oh....and it doesn't spring leaks, unlike the stinky slinky.
Biggest thing I dislike about both the Macerator and sewer solution methods is neither gives you that "forced flush" to force all the solids and TP out of the tank. That slow drain is more apt to leave residual "UNDESIRABLES" in the tank. You still have to carry some length of the stinky slinky to use at dump stations. It also takes multiples of the time to drain with these other options than a straight 3" sized forced flush. I can drain a 40gal tank in about 15sec with my "LOW TECH STINKY SLINKY" and don't have to turn on extra water valves or switches. Finally my "STINKY SLINKY" 30'+ system all fits in my bumper storage area, something the others won't do and take up extra space and worry about clean storage so waste debris doesn't get into normal storage areas.
The only advantage I see in the non "stinky slinky" is for longer and non downhill runs like at home.
Of course those who have "INVESTED" the $100+ into these fancier systems will naturally say they are the "CAT's MEOW" and defend their "EXTRA COST" which is only human nature ... no body wants to admit they have not spent their $$$ in the best way.
