Update: As mentioned in the above post, I tackled the nose of the overhang yesterday. After washing the RV, I applied the Turtle wax "tar and bug" remover to the nose to remove the bugs and caulking. That worked OK. Then I applied a coat of "NuFinish" wax over the area treated. I have to say I'm very happy with the results. The caulking is gone and my RV has a shiny nose. It took me about 2 hours to do the overhang. I had to keep moving the ladder and reaching far out (which I don't like doing when on a ladder) to get the coverage.
I have no connection with these products. Just an inexpensive combination that gave satisfactory results.
