I can't think of a single reason to ever want to travel through a big city. There is nothing I feel the need to see there. I've gone through some small towns that weren't so hot either. Maybe the people that live in some of them are just wonderful but I have no intention of stopping to find out. I don't think I can measure how good an area is by going through the local Walmart either. All Walmarts seem to be full of seedy characters to me. I stay away...
