Birds tapping at rear RV windows . . . advise please.

Is this something to worry about or what? Yesterday, DW complained about a small brownish bird with a yellow crown first hitting and then "tapping" at our RV's rear windows. Well, folks it's morning and it's back. According to what's shown on the net looks like maybe it's a 'wee' yellow crown kinglet.

It, along with another are feeding on the ground seeds of our next door friends garden and using our RV windows in attempts to - heaven knows what; i.e. break our windows.

Call out to birders - should we just disregard this or better still - maybe find a way to prevent their attempts to hurt themselves?

The birds see them selves in the window.. We hear a loud thump occasionally at our house front door where a bird flies into the outside glass door and does him in...

Don't know what one could do to prevent this...

  • Happened to us several times - we tried hanging newspaper over the windows - plastic bags etc - nothing really worked
