The bill from the hospital for use of facilities and services typically doesn't cover the Doc, especially specialists. The bill you paid in full on exit may have been for the Doc's services only. It usually takes a little more time for the hospital system to come up with their bill because they need to see what departments were used, labs, aspirins, etc. So the hospital bill may be valid and the only way of knowing would be to get an itemized bill from them.
