My local hospital gets paid in full by my insurance from Medicare and Tricare for Life. It still doesn't stop them from sending out bills for "disallowed" items that they expect me to pay for in full. If it's not covered by the insurance, it's probably not something I needed. Their latest gambit is billing for "self administered drugs". Medicare doesn't pay for it, Tricare does. They don't want to submit to Tricare. And they did not give me "self administered drugs" at any time. It's just a scam for getting more money. Legal beagle says to ignore the "demands" from the collection agency, as the charges are not valid.
