Bottle Jacks

I have 2 bottle jacks that are 16" tall.....I have them in a plastic container but that is not working. I have looked for a metal type box for containing them but have had no luck finding something that the handle will stay on when I lift the box.
  • Where are you carrying the box? Harbor Freight carries metal boxes that can be mounted or left loose. Just a thought.
  • check on line for surplus ammo cans, they come in all sizes, and are waterproof. I have several that I use around the farm
  • I found an old cat liter pail that has a sturdy handle and both jacks plus pad fits in just fine....saved a bunch of money

*I don't put 'em in cans I carry by the handle on the jack.

One is a 12 ton Air/Hydraulic jack 12 years old and let me tell you it was very well used this year.. Very well used.. Harbor Freight and it worked flawlessly.
  • Perhaps I should pose the question
    Reasons
Who an why take a bottle jack in camper must have box

Though I do load a cheap O floor jack in the truck
  • I carry a bottle jack to lift something and change a tire like the old days.
Also the same thinking why we carry a battery charger to help others .

I carry a bottle jack also, but 16" bottle jack is going to have one heck of a time fitting under the axle of a flat tire. And 2 of them, and heavy to boot.

I was also wondering what they were being used for.
  • Yes VERY tall for sure. For safety and ease of use I really like the TrailerAid Plus. Very heavy Mobile Suites, did not have to get under the RV.
