Boyce Thompson Arboretum - AZ
Copied the following from the Arboretum weekly news letter.
The Arboretum has an immediate opening for a 'park host' resident volunteer couple to occupy the last of our six on-site RV spots through late April or the first week of May. Duties? Admission intake and 'Hospitality' work at the greeter table in our visitor center (other park hosts here guide nature walking tours to teach children and adults about our patch of the Sonoran Desert, and about the history, plants and animals here at BTA). Other tasks include helping with BTA members-only events, and working the hospitality greeter table in the visitor center where we hand out maps, directions and friendly here's-what-you-should-see-today suggestions. Other duties as assigned, too. The opening is immediate, and lasts through the first week of May, or later if that suits applicants' schedule. In exchange we provide an RV parking spot - prior park hosts have dubbed this 'Arizona's Most Exclusive Gated Community;' a peaceful place to park and enjoy great views - interesting neighbors -- and a stimulating resident volunteer job for the winter-spring season. BTA provides our park hosts with water, sewer, electric; but not propane. There's no additional pay; WiFi is not available at the park host RV sites - though residents can usually connect on their own via cellphone hotspots or their satellite dish. For more info, request an application by email to btainfo@ag.arizona.
