Brake Magnet noise
How loud should the brake magnets be when power is applied with the brake controller??

- On mine, and all the ones I have seen, you can hear them humming faintly. How loud the noise is depends on your hearing like was said above.
Why you ask? - On both my trailers I hear a very faint AUDIO TONE SOUND when DC BRAKE VOLTAGE is applied telling you DC VOLTAGE is being applied. On other trailers I have not heard this audio tone??? Guess it depends who make them...
I have never really heard how loud the brake pad noise on the drums is being made.

Roy Ken - You'll hear a him when stationary and a slight metal drag when spinning the wheel off the ground. The magnet has a spring to keep it lightly against the drum.
- Depends on your hearing, you may hear a slight hum.
