On our previous camper, hail broke out all 3 covers on the roof ... 2 vents and the bathroom skylight. Got them fixed easily enough. But next trailer, when we purchased it new, I had the dealer install the Max Air type covers over the vents. At least if hail hits again, the covers will get beat up and not the vent cover. Maybe it will prevent everything from getting soaked with water coming thorugh the busted out vent covers (if hail hits again). Turned out it was a great decision. It's really nice leaving the vents open when it's raining and rain doesn't come in.
Glad you got-er fixed. FYI, I carry my TT spare tire in the back of my pick-up truck. It's just kind of a permanent fixture now. I carry a cage on my trailer bumper hitch now, no room for the spare tire any more.
