Bugs of the front cap.

I applied Turtle Wax Ice to my trailer. Just took a trip this past weekend here in Florida. The love bugs were easily removable with a wet paper towel. Ice lasts a year on our cars, so I'll see how it does on the travel trailer.

Be very very careful with products like Spray Nine. They are acidic. Great for removing bugs but not good at all reacting with metals like aluminium or galvanised screws & wood.

I remove bugs after arrival at campground. Either use a Quick Detail Spray or the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover depending on how bad they are. Don't use water. Just spray and wipe. Might need to use some elbow grease but it beats letting bug guts bake in the sun on your cap. Wax front cap every month or so is key to easy removal.

anyone try this from SeaFoam? All their other product are great.

Every campground we have been to allow bug removal. We are not washing our rig, just removing bugs. We do not even break out the hose and use no soap. Just a microfiber brush and a small and I mean small bucket of water. It is part iof our set up and if you do this every time, you do not have issues with bug removal/staining. We make sure we always have a good coat of wax on the front cap too. This helps with removal.

That would be a good idea but every campground I've been to does not allow washing.

Check out a product called RejeX.. I found out about it from a helicopter mechanic. They would use it on the lead edge of the blades to make it easy to remove bugs and crud. Less bugs, more lift. Bugs just hose off.

Hard to beat a couple coats of a good wax/sealant. Be careful with the soaps used to clean after waxing. Many strip the wax right off along with the bugs.
