We have the same truck and hitch. Sorry for your troubles. We had the dealer put in a spray on bed liner and then had the hitch put in elsewhere. I never thought to look to see if the bed was actually level but I haven't noticed any problems.
Is your hitch torqued down properly into the pocket? Was your turnover ball hitch installed properly? Perhaps a spray on bed liner would add just enough strength to avoid additional damage.
Your pads need to be flipped as previously mentioned.
Good luck.
The tag says torque to 80 lbs. The first time I tried to torque it down to 80 lbs, I thought I was going to break the bolt. So I called B&W and they told me that the tag was wrong and to torque it down to 60lbs.
I took it back to the dealer and showed them the problem. They had my truck for 2 days last week, And nothing has changed. I am hoping to hear back from the dealer and B&W on Monday.
I was hoping that someone here had some experience with this issue. And what they did to correct it.
I am planning on the spray in bedliner, but have to wait to see if we can get this combination to lay flat into the bed.
Another question is, who is responsible for the damage.
