At this point I'm going to wait to see what B&W does. I know they will come up with a solution to make the companion sit flat in the bed.
As for knowing why GM di this is beyond me. I'm sure B&W will have discussions with them at some point. I could not get answers from the dealership nor did they seem to want to take the time to find out as well.
