The Companion is a great choice! They do make a companion slider for the Ram pucks too. It is heavy and a little more spendy. The Ram has the shortest distance from axle center, to back of cab, so it will depend on your awareness, as to whether you need the slider. The new FW will have the rounded corners, which help a lot. You likely couldn't turn 90 degrees, but you couldn't with your TT either. Turning 90 serves no purpose anyway.
