California adds 12 cent gas tax and 20 cent diesel tax

I can't understand why someone would boycott a state over a 20 cent hike per gallon of fuel. It's not like you live there and pay it everyday. I don't see threads of people boycotting Alaska with high fuel prices. California is a beautiful state with lots to offer.
