CAMPER'S INN RV of Philadelphia

TL:DR || CAMPERS INN RV OF PHILADELPHIA HAS ISSUES WITH HONESTY WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH CUSTOMER RV REPAIRS. WHEN YOU MISREPRESENT THE LITTLE THINGS MISREPRESENTING THE BIG ONES IS JUST A MATTER OF SCALE.

Campers Inn RV of Philadelphia: a big red flag.

When it comes to RV purchases and service, trust in those you choose partner with is paramount. While upselling is a common practice it is acceptable outright dishonesty is not. Unfortunately, my experiences with Campers Inn of Philadelphia have exposed a disturbing pattern of deceit.

First, after purchasing a new travel trailer, I discovered a persistent toilet leak. Despite taking it to a certified repair location, they claimed they couldn't replicate the issue. However, the leak reappeared immediately at next use. This suggests either gross incompetence or intentional misinformation on the part of there service department.

Second, during a routine winterization, they falsely claimed a nearly new battery was defective. After a quick charge at home, the battery was fully functional. This blatant lie can only interpreted as a sleazy ploy to sell a replacement.

These incidents raise serious concerns about the integrity of Campers Inn of Philadelphia. If you are a potential customers I would strongly urge you to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this company. A dishonest seller can turn a dream travel/camping experience into a nightmare.

  • How do you know the battery isn't defective? Was it bench tested? Just because it takes a charge does not mean it's not defective. And if it's new, wouldn't it be covered under warranty? The toilet issue, Take pictures or a video and take it back to have it fixed. Replicate the issue with the service department standing there. Sometimes it helps to call the manufacturer directly. Is the leak in the base/seal or in a plumbing line? I doubt the service department would provide intentional mis information. What's the benefit in that? I mean, service work is their bread and butter, why would they not want to fix an issue and get paid for it?

I read your review on Google. The dealer responded quickly so it looks like they are willing to work with you to deal with your issues. I know sometimes RV ownership and purchases and service can be frustrating, but your problems are minimal, frankly and the dealership seems responsive. Often it comes down to communication. And like I said, call the manufacturer directly.

  • FWIW, making people aware of what you consider a less-than-stellar dealer is good. Making such statements as you have done may be grounds for legal action on the part of the dealer.
