Is this what you are talking about Wireless Extenders zBoost YX545 SOHO Dual-Band Cell Phone Signal Booster ? What do you think of this one.....I can buy it at Tiger Direct and if it does not work for me I can return it. Any thing else I have to buy on line and then try to return it if it does not work......

RV. Parks and campgrounds do not offer cell service the last time I checked. This is not a park problem.

Check with your cell company or perhaps change to another.

Our favorite CG has no cell coverage. If I need it I can go 1 mile to the next CG and get 3G. I prefer coverage but it's not an overriding factor.

Since we use a Verizon MiFi for internet and also subscribe to Verizon cell service, that is one of the questions I ask when making a reservation. If they do not get Verizon, I don't stay there unless they are in a must see area and there are no other choices. Second question is if they have a satellite friendly spot for me, especially during football season! Just Sayin...

I realize that some of us live & die by the cell phone, but I am not going to base my stay at a CG on whether or not they have cell reception, or WIFI.

I watched people walking all over that place day and night holding their hands in the air with their cell phone trying to get a signal. It looked like the "Night of the Living Dead" :R

Different phone carriers have different receptions. And just because a map shows that you should have reception doesn't mean you will. Those maps do not take into consideration tree, valleys, mountains, buildings and etc. there's no way a park can advertise good cell reception when they can't control it.

Considering the number of carriers and an almost unlimited number of cell phone brands and models, that would at least be very expensive and probably impossible.

That would be a great idea.....I would go to the campgrounds that have no cell service.......... Try to leave all the cell phones & computers at home .... so nice & peaceful.......
