Campground Rules

Was hunting on RV Parks Review for a Maine campground and looking at some campground websites.

Just saw the best campground rules. They are:

Common sense applies everywhere. Nonsense will not be tolerated.

Love the New England style of rules. I think that just about covers all situations!

  • Tactfulness is not a skill all people possess. Common sense even less so. These rules are clear as mud. Also an open ended rule to kick out anyone for any reason. Either that or they were simply too lazy to come up with a clear bulleted list.

What is clear about this rule is that it is a place I would stay away from.
  • Gotta love them New Englanders....straight to the point.

First time I engaged with a New Englander I thought he was rude......but then I realized he answered my question without fan fair. Concise, clear and direct.

If an extended conversation was wanted I needed to ask more questions :B
  • Agree. Common sense and non sense are relative! Kind of like my favorite saying that "I" coined:

"Insanity is just a state of mind."... you've really got to think about that? If the majority of people were "insane" that would be considered "normal" and "normal would be "insane". So who determines what is really "normal" and what is "insane"? It's relative .... a 'state of mind?" who's mind?

So is common-sense and non-sense. To one common-sense is non-sense, and to the other non-sense is really "common"-sense!

I think my head is splitting over this one! :)
  • If only it were that simple. Common sense is not very common. And one person's idea of common sense might well be another's idea of ignorance.
