We was driving the truck around a couple of camp sites in VA near SKYLINE DRIVE checking out things for future camp sites and was getting way in the back of this one and sort got into dead-end road. So here I am backing and going forward trying to get turned around. There was three or four 4WD trucks blocking the road and several guys sitting around the camp fire.
They are all watching me trying to get turned around with taking out my mirrors and truck antennas.
I finally got turned around and was heading back the way I came in and one dude spouts out why didn't you ask one of us to move our trucks haha...
I held my tongue and kept on going...
another time I had made reservations at Loft Mtn up on SKYLINE DRIVE and the day before we was leaving to get there I get this call from the RANGERS saying someone was in my site and they couldn't find anyone around to tell them to leave.
They offered another site which I looked up with SAT VIEW online and it didn't have the shade we was looking for. So I called back and told them to get me my site I reserved...
We left for LOFT MTN the next morning and arrived and wasn't anyone at the check-in station so just drove on down where the camp site was. I met the RANGER walking back up to the check-in building. He said you must be the BRADDYs haha... Told me they had a little trouble but the site is all yours now.
We went on in and setup and found ourselves between two family groups and found out the middle guy was the son of the camper to the right of us. I never got any details but after getting setup I saw the family to the right and sort of mentioned someone had hijacked my site and the Rangers had to remove them. Little did I know it was his son... Turns out the son refused to move and the RANGERS called in the local sheriff dept to remove him haha...
So here we are now sitting between two family groups that had the middle family member evicted by the law. He actually spent the night in jail. They were all drinking it seems...
I just knew this wasn't going to work out good for us haha...
As it turned out all went well and both family's on each side of us left the next day which was their normal time to leave. I figured my tires were definitely going to slashed haha... we was there for the full week and got to visit with the ranger later on. He told me he was glad they broke the bunch up... They was a sore eye to lots of other campers that previous week. The guy that was in my reserved site never checked-in or anything just showed up and took over the camp site...
