They are probably late for work or whatever function. They did not allow for enough time and now they have to wait for you. Maybe the boss said one more time of being late and it will cost them. If they knew that, why didn't they allow for extra time?
When I was working, many a time I almost had an accident because someone was running late and not allowing for traffic. Glad I no longer live in the big city.
We retired to a small town that has a college. Summer school is out now so we can get from north to south in about 20 min or less. When school starts back, college and elementary, jr high and high school, we know where to avoid at the different times.
Just take your time and let them learn how to park a trailer. Maybe they are jealous that you had a way of getting out of town.
