I'd suggest using thinner vinyl flooring, rather than the heavy plant-based materials. If you are camping in the colder months, your flooring is likely to be cold. I place indoor and outdoor carpeting over my flooring made of vinyl. I'm able to take off the entire flooring to clean it, which includes scrubbing and washing off with an hose when needed.
