Carrying a Firearm in your RV?

Each state honors (or not) CWP laws from other states differently. Note that this is not necessarily the same as carrying a firearm in your dwelling (RV). This is just an example showing the states in blue which honor concealed weapons permits from WA state. It does not mean that all these states honor all the others.

You CAN LEGALLY CARRY A LOADED WEAPON IN YOUR CAR IN TEXAS! Texas law states that your vehicle is considered part of your domain, like your home, and that a loaded weapon in your car must be concealed in an appropriate manner, eg. not in your passenger seat.

not to be disagreeable with what you have to say about the issue, because I don’t disagree, nor to change the tone of the thread, but unfortunately IMHO the threads are closed mostly because of chest pounding rights without responsibility post that are always followed by disagreement of equal irresponsibility… this thread is already reaching uncharted longevity here, and let’s hope for once it can continue in the good natured and informative intent it was made… we need good information and exchange on every subject that affects us even in disagreement or conflicting information or subjects…

Many states especially on east coast have respiratory agreements honoring each other's concealed permit.research it pm web for more info

You should be fine if carried in coach not cab. You're trouble would come when you pulled the piece. All kinds of laws govern when you may pull a weapon. If you used it to ward off a mouth attack, you're in trouble. Imminent threat to life, should be ok. To protect property? DON"T. Your life or the life of another is what you should be safe in doing. Someone breaks in the RV, they are inside and you kill them you should be ok. If they are outside the RV and no longer a threat you would be charged with murder.

There are also, pointing laws and assault laws to be concerned with. Keep the piece in the RV and you should be fine. Take it outside you may have legal trouble.
