My wife and I are stumped as to the dyson stick vac or the dirt devil central vac. Please weigh in with your experience.

Consumer reports did some work with Dyson vacs and found them over priced garbage IIRC.
Kind of like Bose, charge a premium and people will think they are getting something special.
