Dyson DC 59 animal vacuum

We have a Dyson 59 animal that we use in our MH. The MH came equipped with a central vac system, and we like to think that we are good housekeepers. The first few times we used the DC59 in the MH, we were totally embarrassed by the amount of "stuff" that came out of the carpet. YUCK! It also works great on the tile floors. The battery lasts long enough to do the whole 40' MH.

Yes, it is expensive and probably over priced but worth every dollar. Check around on Amazon, Best Buy and eBay for the best price. We were so impressed with the DC59 that we bought a corded model for the house. That was real sticker shock.

Had a Dyson Animal for years, thought it worked great...when we went fulltime I got tired of trying to store it in my closet so I gave it to my son and bought, for less than half the cost of a Dyson, a Shark Rotator Professional. It puts the Dyson to SHAME, and breaks down by removing the handle and stores in the cargo bay.

I have the cordless version with floor attachments and a smaller upright version. I'm sold on them. Worth the money and the filters are washable. They look like they filter the outputting air better than others.

We used to be Dyson fans. The operative word is "used"...

We started having trouble with our Dyson and got zero help from the factory (they wanted to do the repair as opposed to just sending me a part that I was even willing to pay for). I started looking around for alternatives and stumbled upon the the Shark Rocket series of vacuums. We bought the Rocket Pro to use in the sticks and bricks and for a test we used the Dyson first and then went over the same area with the Rocket. Amazing how much more it (the Rocket Pro) picked up (the only problem with the Dyson was a broken latch...didn't affect its vacuuming ability). Sold the Dyson in a yard sale...we have 3 cats, two long hairs, so, we're familiar with animal fur. We bought the regular Rocket to use in the 5er and are quite happy with the versatility, quality and effectiveness.

These aren't cheap vacuums, but, they, for us, are better vacuums than the Dyson and, though not cheaper by a lot, they do cost less than the Dyson units.

We have the DC59 at the house and love it. We dont sweep anymore, its faster\easier to grab the dyson and use it. When we camp I pack it in the camper, I use it over the central vac in our camper.
If you watch you can fin them $100 off at certain stores, I think Target has them on sale right now. We purchased ours from Kohls when they were $100 off and also had a 30% off coupon so that helped take some of the pain away. They are a spendy vacuum for sure, but I wish we had bought one sooner, would have saved us from trying other cheaper brands.

We have a DC 44 for our 5ver....after going thru a lot of different kinds of vacuums....we tried the Dyson.....great! Should have bought it first and not wasted money on all the other ones.

We just got a DC44 Animal,to give our DC35 a little help. The DC35 worked great, the DC44 is even better, think the DC59 will be fantastic!!

We just got a DC40 from QVC - paid $100 less than the same model through Best Buy or any other outlet, and it came with over $100 of extra parts. It works great in the house - I had a friend, who is a flooring contractor, tell me that some carpet manufacturers will void their warranty if you use a Dyson - it has so much suction that it actually breaks down the carpet backing! All I know is that this model really sucks!

Three or four years ago we got one of the larger upright Dyson vacuums. Best vacuum we've owned. For a while I've toyed with the idea of buying a cordless model for the trailer and quick clean-ups around the house. Tough to justify the cost.

Last week we had the last of the carpet removed in the house with vinyl plank installed. For the benefit of quick cleanups (and something to toss in the trailer for trips) I was finally able to justify the $400+ price tag. We went with the DC59 Motorhead, hoping the power to the beater bar would help with the accumulations of dog hair.

MONEY WELL SPENT! Quick, easy, powerful, all things their advertising speaks about. I'm happy ... more importantly ... the DW is happy!
