There is good quality 12V car audio equipment available. Nice clean powerful amplifiers. Speakers you have the option of something like westend proposed above (lots of very large cavities in RV cabinets to act as baffles). Or some home hifi speakers (new or good vintage) if you have the room.
The one place I personally wouldn't go overboard is amplifier power...provided you dry camp. These things today can be huge and draw 10-20 amps or more if cranked up loud. Their idle load can be quite high. The most powerful 12 volt amps require very heavy wiring-both to battery and speaker. 50 to 100 watts of high quality amplification (not BS rating common today) through some fairly efficient speakers should give a satisfying level of sound. Be sure to check the idle draw of amp. You want it to draw little power if you're just playing it softly.
