Chrome rims

Don't know IF I have ask before. And I know it is a personal choice.
But I have been thinking of putting a set of chrome rims on the TT. The white ones that came on it seem to rust pretty fast and I though why not.

So in your considered opinion. Do chrome wheels really perk up the TT? Worth the money? Or just paint the old.
  • I would put a set of nice aluminum wheels on there. They're not much different in pricing. I even had a set put on my landscape trailer. Looks really sharp.

We are presently shopping for another toy hauler to replace the Work & Play. Most brands these days have the black wheels. I hate that. I'm old-school. Nothing like shiny wheels to sharpen things up.

I always have thought over the years that the chrome things are not as strong as regular rims... Perhaps the process makes them weaker metal...

  • Powder coat them black or have them powder coated back to white.

I would go with alloy instead! Chrome will rust also if you don't clean and wax.
