Class B roof cracks

tarnold, my last post said that I put eternabond tape on it as the fix. It's done & not coming off so no need for your suggestion. Thanks anyway.

Cracks don't look deep. Get a West Marine gel coat repair kit. Been there, done that.

If not stress, then what? Something caused the cracking, especially the large one that's raised up, the only other option is from walking on it?
Whats the inside look like, any water intrusion?

Any marine service dept would tell you that it can be fixed correctly. The fix is to level any breaks, clean out any cracks, fill with epoxy and sand. Apply matching gelcoat finish. If the crack is from a know stress situation (like from a corner or abutment) you could strengthen the crack location with fiberglass mat.

If you don't care about cosmetics, you could just fill the cracks with an epoxy. The stranded body filler works well for large cracks. Regular Bondo will fill the small ones. Poured epoxy is the lazy man route.

I am not sure if I did the correct thing but about 4 years ago, I had the same situation on my 1989 Xplorer camper van and I put a small piece of white enternabond over it. The little crack has not expanded etc. since then. Not very noticeable on the roof.

I would not be using comet on my fiberglass roof. Too abrasive!
