How do you all clear off the top of your slide out before leaving a campground? We were thinking that a broom might eventually damage the rubber roof. A small light-weight leaf blower would work, but it takes up space in storage. So what do you all do?

A broom won't damage the roof. You're only sweeping it, not scraping it.

A small light-weight battery leaf blower, that's what I use.

If I feel there might be something up there, I will climb up my rear ladder with a small broom and sweep it off. I crawl around up top on my knees.

I climb up onto the roof and sweep. I also use that time to check for leaks, cracks, and other problems. The whole thing, sweeping and checking, takes maybe five minutes. BTW - on our tt at least, the slide roofs aren't rubber.

Drive really fast out of the campground and then bring the slide in just before you hit the highway:E I have an 18 volt ryobi blower that I use. Just have to remeber to charge the battery the night before we leave.

Bribe the neighbors kid to climb up and sweep off the top for you. Just make sure he doesn't fall thru a sky light or vent...

I use a California duster on a telescoping pole. Even with the toppers you still get dust and small stuff, like cut grass and etc. I stand on a 6 ft. ladder and dust it off.

I don't do anything. Some stuff comes in with the slide, then goes back out with the slide.

If I am being lazy, I use a water hose on one end and wash it off. Not any different than it raining on it. Most of the time I use a broom

I use a 6 ft ladder to stand on then blow off with leaf blower or if it is early
in the AM I will use a broom

One of the reasons we had slide toppers installed. No need to clean the slide tops. A big plus.
