This summer on a two lane road a recently downed tree was hanging into the road in a wooded area. (trunk or thicker branch about 5 or 6" in dia. with top ripped off so that you couldn't see it until too late) By the time I spotted it, I tried to move as far toward the center line as possible without hitting any oncoming traffic. Even with my shot at avoiding it, the tree/limb hit my pass mirror and it sounded like a shotgun. When I was finally able to pull over and check the damage, I found the pass mirror obviously destroyed. But the close call comes in the fact that this tree was SOOOOOO close to the side of my MH that it knocked the "porch light" clear plastic cover off. Another inch or two and I'm sure it would have peeled the side of the MH open like a can opener!
