Coleman RoadTrip Grill Issues

I know there's a thousand threads on this little grill, but I haven't come across one specifically regarding this issue.

If I turn on one burner it's sort of okay. If I turn on the second burner, the first burner gets pretty low as well as the second burner. The grill gets lukewarm as result. It did this with 2 different, fresh 1 lb. bottles of propane AND hooked directly up to the high pressure port on my RV tank.

It's a fairly simple device - it has to be the regulator, right?
  • Probably is a regulator issue. On my roadtrip grill, if you open the propane tank valve like you normally would do for a regular grill, it causes the regulator to malfunction. It operates like you describe, or doesn't operate at all. I have to open the tank valve very slowly for the grill regulator to function properly. I was having problems with mine, and read where this is not uncommon for these.
  • Had the same problem with mine when I bought it, CW found out it was bad adapter hose and there were a number of bad ones in their store. They found one that worked for me.
