I think it is rude and most certainly arrogant to judge the responses received.

If that person is so good why are they asking?

Yeah, pretty stupid to complain about free advice. You're not being a grump, just wondering why folks would immediately look a gift horse in the mouth.

With that said, very rarely will you get real expertise on these (or any) forums... and if you are fortunate enough to get legit info, I've found it's usually from a regular contributor who's helped many a camper in the past- on a specific subject.

Take it with a grain of sand, and/or check their post history.
