Connecticut closing state campgrounds after the 4th of July

The ranger only showed up sometime in the late morning/early afternoon and I've NO idea when the dimly lit pit toilets were re stocked w/ toilet paper. No showers, cold or hot. In general the only campers I ever saw were bachelor/ette parties, college kids and weary RVers who prefer to not make reservations which I find not that wise in the NE.
