Cost to upgrade Garmin Nuvi 2597/LMT

Question

Wondering what the cost would be to upgrade the Garmin Nuvi 2597/LMT.
I travel with this all the time and am noticing that all way points are not being found.
Would it be best to update this unit or bite the bullet and purchase a new one?
If purchasing a new unit what would be the most user friendly one to get? Love my voice activated Garmin.

Not sure what you mean about the cost to upgrade it.  The LMT in the model means lifetime maps and traffic for free.  Download Garmin Express and connect the GPS to your computer.  It will automatically check the GPS for any map and firmware updates needed and install them.

The only cost you might run into is expanding the storage for the Nuvi. My very old Nuvi 1450 LMT stopped updating years ago, because the updates had grown too big for the on board storage. The fix was a $8 microSD flash card, stuck into the little slot. Now it has more than enough memory for the updates.
